Pica Pau Cotton 8/7

Pica Pau Cotton 8/7 is a 100% combed cotton yarn created in collaboration with Yanina Schenkel (Pica Pau), the celebrated amigurumi designer and author behind the beloved Animal Friends of Pica Pau series. This special yarn line is a tribute to over a decade of whimsical character design, brought to life through a palette of carefully curated colors.

From dusty reds and ochres to teals, mustards, and muted purples, each shade has been handpicked by Yanina to match the tones she uses in her books: colors that are desaturated yet vivid, playful yet grounded. It is a palette designed for dreamers, makers, and storytellers.

Cotton 8/7 holds its shape beautifully without being stiff, making it ideal for amigurumi and other sculptural work that calls for clean stitches and expressive detail. If you are planning on using the yarn for amigurumi, we recommend using a 2.75 or a 3 mm (US C-2) crochet hook. For other projects, you can follow the sizes on the label of a 5 mm (US H-8) crochet hook or 4 mm (US 6) knitting needles.
